Mark the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War with Native Ground's Books & CDs
Wayne Erbsen's books and recordings of music of the Civil War draw heavily on his training and experience as a professional historian, teacher, Civil War reenactor, author and musician. He is a master of a number of stringed instruments including clawhammer banjo, fiddle, guitar and mandolin and has written many instruction books on these instruments. Among the notable musicians who accompanied Wayne on many of his Civil War recordings is David Holt, who played harmonica, mouth bow, Jew's harp, bones, spoons, hambone, tamborine, drums and accordion (not all at the same time). Wayne's Civil War music was used in the soundtrack of the movie "Gods and Generals," and numerous educational CDroms including Time/Life and Microsoft's Encarta.
